2 dead in medical helicopter crash
Two crew members aboard a medical helicopter died when the chopper crashed in the Superstition Mountains near Phoenix, Arizona.
Aircraft company, Air Methods, says a pilot, paramedic and nurse were on board at the time of the crash. Their names are not being released.
No patients were on board.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor told the Arizona Republic earlier that the chopper went down under unknown circumstances in Pinal County, about 55 miles east of Phoenix. It was headed to Globe, Arizona.
The sole survivor is hospitalized in critical condition.
The helicopter was found about two hours after it was reported missing.
Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu says the survivor was able to use a light to signal a search helicopter.
