Second recall for bean bag chairs

The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Ace Bayou are re-issuing a recall for 2.2 million bean bag chairs. The CPSC says only about 790 people responded to the first recall over the summer. The company launched the first recall after two children died after crawling inside of it and suffocating. Another child got sick after opening the chair and eating some of the beads.

The recalled chairs were sold in a variety of sizes, shapes, colors and fabrics from 19-95 through 2013.

Consumers are urged to contact Ace Bayou for a free repair kit to permanently disable the zipper so the chairs can not be opened.

That number is toll-free 855-571-8151.
