Poplar Bluff man arrested and charged with hit and run that killed teenager

A Poplar Bluff man has been arrested and charged in a hit and run that killed a teenager.

The Poplar Bluff Police Department says 13-year-old Heavenly Hafford died after she was hit by a car on December 9.

On Friday, police arrested 38-year-old Ben Ressel.

He was charged with felony leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident and taken to the Butler County Jail.
