Crash kills southern Illinois man, another sent to the hospital

One man died and another was seriously hurt in a Sunday night crash in Jackson County, Illinois.  

Deputies responded to the crash on Neunert Road near East Jacob Road in rural Jacob, Illinois around 5:07pm.  They say 30 year-old Brad Taylor and 52 year-old Bruce Ticer were traveling westbound on Nuenert Road when the driver failed to negotiate a curve, overturning the vehicle. Taylor and Ticer are from Gorham, Illinois.

Deputies say both men were ejected from the vehicle. Ticer was taken to a St. Louis hospital for significant injuries. Taylor died at the scene.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
