Suspect in Sikeston shooting death in custody

The suspect in a shooting that killed a man over the weekend is in custody.

The Sikeston Department of Public Safety tells us Antoine Harris-Applewhite turned himself in Monday evening.

He’s suspected in the shooting death of 35-year-old Samuel Sanders, who was shot in the chest around 5:00om Saturday night. The shooting happened in from of Westside Liquors on West Malone Street.

Harris-Applewhite is being held on a $500,000 cash only bond.
