Suspect arrested in gas station robbery

Local police believe they have found one of the men responsible for a local convenience store heist.

The Mt. Vernon Police Department has arrested Harley D. Pulley of Mt. Vernon for an armed robbery of the Casey’s General Store at 617 Salem Road on Wednesday night.

Mt. Vernon police are working in conjunction with Salem Police Department as the investigation continues into possible involvement with previous robberies in Jefferson County.

A second suspect is still at large.

Pulley is currently in the Jefferson County Jail awaiting bond to be set.
