Two injured in wreck on Lone Oak Road in Paducah
Two people were taken to Lourdes hospital in Paducah Tuesday after a two-vehicle wreck that rolled an SUV onto its side at the intersection of Lone Oak Road and North Friendship Road, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies responded to the scene around 7 p.m. Tuesday. The sheriff’s department says a 1997 Jeep Wrangler was headed northbound on Lone Oak Road when the driver — 64-year-old James Kidd, of Paducah — tried to make a left turn at the intersection with North Friendship Road.
When Kidd tried to turn, deputies say he collided with a southbound Toyota 4Runner driven by 24-year-old Justin Boyett, of Paducah. The SUV slid sideways, deputies say, before kitting the roadside cub and rolling onto its passenger side.
Boyett and passenger 24-year-old Shelby Morgan of Murray were taken to Lourdes for injuries deputies described as "non-incapacitating." Kidd was uninjured.
The sheriff’s department was assisted at the scene by Mercy Regional EMS, Lone Oak Fire Department and Stinnett’s Towing.
