Sex offender sentenced to prison for failing to update registration

A Jonesboro, Illinois man was sentenced to prison for failing to update his sex offender registration.

Brandon Griffin has been sentenced to two years in prison.

Griffin pleaded guilty to criminal sexual abuse in 2010.

The Union County State’s Attorney’s Office said Griffin committed sexual acts with a minor.

Griffin was released from prison in 2014.
