Two injured in rollover crash near Muddy, Illinois

Two people were airlifted to a local hospital after the SUV they were traveling in crashed Tuesday evening.

The crash happened on US Route 45 about 10 minutes before 9:00 p.m.

Illinois State Police say a SUV was entering Muddy, Illinois when for unknown reasons the SUV left the road, became airborne, and rolled over multiple times.

The SUV hit a parked semi before stopping and catching on fire.

The driver, 45-year-old Douglas Williams, and his passenger, 44-year-old Diana Williams, both of Marion, Illinois, were airlifted to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.

An investigation is ongoing.
