U.S. Army Corps of Engineers staff meet with local leaders, citizens in flood-affected areas
On Tuesday, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Memphis District says, commander Col. Jeff Anderson and members of his staff visited parts of the Local 6 area affected by flooding in Illinois and Missouri.
Anderson visited Cairo, Illinois, the Little River Drainage District in Missouri, and New Madrid, Missouri. In a Facebook post, the Memphis district says Anderson and the staff members met with local officials and citizens. The district included photos from the trip, some of which we are sharing with this story.
