9-year-old Louisville boy dies in shooting

Metro Louisville Police are investigating a shooting that left a 9-year-old boy dead.
Police spokesman Dwight Mitchell told media that the child was shot inside a home late Saturday and taken in a private vehicle to Kosair Children’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Mitchell said it wasn’t immediately clear whether the shooting was accidental. He said the homicide unit is investigating the circumstances.
