Man charged with rape of 13-year-old girl in Graves County

A man has been arrested and charged with multiple sexual offenses in Graves County, according to the local sheriff’s department. 

Investigators say they received a complaint of sexual abuse from a Graves County man involving a 13-year-old girl on Jan 4, and interviewed the girl’s mother, the girl and her step mother on Jan. 6. Investigators say the girl gave detectives specific details about the sexual abuse and information about a second girl who may have also been assaulted 

Detectives arrested 39-year-old Brian Readenour at a home in Water Valley at 11 a.m. on Monday. He’s charged with third degree rape, four counts of third degree sodomy, four counts of sexual abuse, four counts of first degree selling a controlled substance to a minor and four counts of first degree unlawful transaction with a minor. He was jailed in the Graves County Jail.
