Sewer rates may increase in Paducah and McCracken County

Sewer rates could go up in Paducah and McCracken County.

The current monthly bill for 5,000 gallon usage is $22.15.

At their latest meeting, Paducah commissioners proposed to increase the sanitary sewer fees as recommended by the joint sewer agency.

If approved, the rate could go up to $25.75 – effective March 1st.

It would then go up again to $29.15 on July 1st of 2017.

A vote is scheduled for January 25.
