KSP investigating deadly Livingston County crash

An 18 year-old Ledbetter woman died in an early morning crash in Livingston County.

Kentucky State Police troopers responded to a single vehicle crash on KY 453 around 12:30am, about three miles south of Smithland.  They say Katie McFarland was driving southbound on KY 453, when for unknown reasons, she drifted off the road, overturning her car.  It went down an embankment, hit a tree and caught on fire.

McFarland and an unrelated 16 year-old died at the scene.  KSP is still investigating the crash.  A portion of the road was shutdown for several hours Saturday morning, but the road is now back open.

There is a GoFundMe account set up to help McFarland, click here.
