Transportation cabinet crews prepare for winter weather

Ahead of a wintry mix forecast in our area, you can expect to see spray trucks and road crews on Tuesday in west Kentucky.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says cold temperatures will limit how much can be done, but crews will try to treat some highways, including Interstate 24 on Tuesday.

KYTC says state highway crews will work during the day to have snow plows loaded with salt and prepared to roll out when the wintry mix arrives

The cabinet asks drivers to do be prepared, to slow down to help assure a safe commute and to give snow plows plenty of room as they go about their work.
