Another candidate running for Congress in Kentucky’s 1st District

Another candidate is joining the race for Congress in Kentucky’s 1st District.

Michael Pape is filing to officially run on Thursday.

Congressman Ed Whitfield is vacating the seat. He announced last year that he would not run for re-election.

James Comer, Jason Batts, and Sam Gaskins have also announced they are running.

Pape is a former District Director for Whitfield and is running as a Republican.
