Wanted man arrested after car ran off snowy Graves County road
A man was arrested in Graves County Friday morning after the sheriff’s department says he tried to flee from deputies on foot in the snow.
Friday’s slick conditions sent the man’s car off the road and into the snow in the Symsonia area. A Graves County resident called law enforcement and said the man came up to his house and was acting strange.
Deputies say when they responded they identified the man as 30-year-old Jerry Tynes of Wingo, who they say they knew had outstanding warrants. They tried to arrest him on the spot and say Tynes led them on a foot chase in the snow.
Deputies later arrested Tynes in nearby woods. He was charged with first degree fleeing and evading on foot, resisting arrest, third degree criminal trespass and second degree disorderly conduct. He was jailed in the Graves County Jail.
