Deputies: Man runs into trailer, injures driver

A man was hit by a trailer after a driver failed to stop on KY 58 East in Graves County.

Deputies say Andrew Weston was pulling his vehicle and trailer onto Airport Road when it became stuck in the snow and ice.  He told deputies he was flagging traffic to stop because his trailer was still in the westbound lane of KY 58.   Teddy Sharpe was driving westbound and told deputies he didn’t see the trailer because the sun was in his eyes.

Sharpe hit Weston’s trailer causing the trailer to hit Weston.  Weston was taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for minor injuries and was later released.

Sharpe was arrested for DUI and taken to the Graves County Detention Center.
