Funeral arrangements made for Chris Adams

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says official funeral arrangements have been made for a worker who died while plowing snow in Christian County Jan. 23.

KYTC spokesman Keith Todd says the funeral of Chris Adams is scheduled for noon Friday. Adams was 44 years old.

The funeral will be held at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church at 902 E. 9th St. in Hopkinsville. Todd says Adams’ family has extended an invitation to his coworkers and fellow employees to attend. They have encouraged KYTC personnel to wear their Hi-Viz road gear and uniforms.

Members of the Christian County highway maintenance crew will serve as pallbearers, Todd says, and provide an escort from the funeral home to the church around 11 a.m. on Friday. A KYTC truck will lead the funeral procession from the church to the cemetery after the funeral service.
