Local man charged with rape, drug trafficking

A local man accused of rape and drug trafficking was arrested Thursday afternoon, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department.

The sheriff’s department says a woman told them Monday that 57-year-old Johnny Langston of Nelson Street in Paducah gave her prescription controlled substances and she eventually passed out. The woman said when she regained consciousness, Langston was on top of her, sexually assaulting her.

Detectives say they found Langston at home Thursday. He was interviewed at the sheriff’s department before he was arrested and jailed in the McCracken County Regional Jail. He was charged with first degree rape and trafficking in Klonopin, a third degree controlled substance.
