County scheduling community-wide clean up after floods

The Alexander County Road Department and County Board Chairman Chalen Tatum are organizing a cleanup weekend following the floods late last year and early this year. 

Tatum says he’s trying to schedule a community-wide event Saturday, February 27th.  More information will also be posted on the "Alexander County Flood Relief Committee" Facebook page. Tatum is also asking people that need help cleaning up to call him at (618) 521-8102.
