Deputies: Woman found dead a day after running off the road and into a ditch

Hopkins County deputies found a woman dead a day after her car ran off the road and down an embankment.

Deputies say Delores Bowles, 64, of Madisonville, was driving on Carriage Lane around 8pm Saturday, when for unknown reasons, she crossed a lane of traffic, running off the road.  Her car hit an embankment and went down a ditch.

Deputies say he car was not visible to anyone traveling on Carriage Lane.  Sunday morning, a land owner noticed the car and called 911.  Bowles died at the scene.

They believe a medical issue may have caused her to run off the road.  No one else was hurt.
