The final results: Clinton vs. Sanders

The Associated Press reports Hillary Clinton’s win over Bernie Sanders in the Iowa caucus. Clinton walked away with 49.9% of votes and Bernie Sanders with 49.5%.

Clinton spoke to a group of supporters at Drake University saying she was breathing a ‘big sigh of relief." Her speech came before the final results came in, but she said this race is a real "contest of ideas."

Bernie Sanders also spoke at a victory rally before the final results came in. He took to his podium shortly after Clinton stepped down from hers. Sanders said he feels like he launched a "political revolution" against a system that was rigged against the little guy.

We know Martin O’Malley suspended his campaign Monday night.
