Man claiming he found abused dog now accused as abuser
We have new details Wednesday about a dog a man claimed he found thrown out in the cold by a dumpster. Now, police are accusing that man of being the one who harmed her.
Murray police tell us they’re summoning Jesse Johnson with charges of animal cruelty.
Sgt. Brant Shutt tells us Johnson later told police the dog was his and his wife’s and that he made up the story about finding her abandoned when he took her to a local pet store.
Johnson could face one year in jail and/or a $500 fine.
