Paducah police arrest man wanted in connection to stabbing

Paducah police have arrested a man wanted in connection to a stabbing.

Police say on Monday afternoon, at 8th Street and Oscar Cross Boulevard, two men got into an argument.

That’s when 49-year-old James Byas is accused of stabbing 41-year-old Tommy Powell.

Powell was stabbed in the face and the back. He was treated at a local hospital.

Byas was arrested on Wednesday. He was charged with assault.
