Angelica Nwandu: The Lady Behind The Shade

We’re continuing our coverage of NBC’s project #NBCBLK28. The project profiles a new person each day of the month and is in celebration of Black History Month. Each nominee is chosen by NBC’s Broadcast News and Digital Teams and, as stated by NBC, is "young, gifted and unapologetically Black."

The third nominee is Angelica Nwandu, founder and president of The Shade Room. She created what is now one of the world’s most popular instagram accounts. She has more than 3 million followers and was named "The TMZ of the Internet" by the New York Times.
