Crashes reported on I-24 in Christian County now cleared

UPDATE: All lanes on I-24 in Christian County are now open, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. 

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has released a snow and ice report for District 2, and notes two crashes are reported on Interstate 24 in Christian County. 

Here’s KYTC’s snow and ice report:

"Snowfall has for the most part stopped across District 2 with the exception of a few flurries. Active counties are applying a layer of salt to A and B routes. 

Christian County has reported two separate vehicle accidents on I-24. One wreck westbound on I-24 near 85 mile marker has reduced traffic to one lane. 

A crash is blocking the eastbound lanes of I-24 92 mile marker both lanes closed.  Christian County has several reports of black ice.

Crews with trucks out on the road include Christian, Caldwell, Hopkins, Union, Webster, and Muhlenberg."
