Local leaders fighting state education funding cuts

How much is your child’s education worth to you? Members of Paducah’s chamber of commerce, as well as local college and university presidents, spent the day in Frankfort trying to reverse course on Gov. Matt Bevin’s proposed cuts to higher education.

Bevin wants all nine state colleges and universities to trim 4.5 percent this fiscal year. He then wants them to slash another 4.5 percent next year.

Local 6’s Robert Bradfield reports from Frankfort tonight on the fight to keep education affordable.
