Paducah man killed in overnight crash

One person was killed and two others were injured in a crash Wednesday night on US Highway 60 at the Union-Henderson County line.

Kentucky State Police say 28-year-old Seth Cross of Paducah was traveling east on US Highway 60.

As he approached the Highland Creek Bridge, Cross went into the westbound lane, sideswiping two pick-up truck before hitting a car head-on.

Cross was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say he was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The driver of the car hit head-on, 62-year-old Debra Schermerhorn of Morganfield, was taken to a local hospital.

Her passenger, 56-year-old Marilyn Nalley of Morganfield, was also taken to a local hospital, but later transported to Deaconess Hospital.

The road was closed for four hour.

An investigation is ongoing.
