Judge agrees to move Ryan Champion murder case out of Trigg County

Ryan Champion, the man accused in a murder for hire plot to kill his family, will now be tried in Livingston County.

Champion was in court on Friday asking for a change of venue because he didn’t think he would get a fair trial in Trigg County where his sister and parents were killed.

The judge agreed to move the case out of Trigg County, but not out of the 56th judicial circuit.

Champion is accused of hiring Vito Riservato to kill his sister and their parents, and then killing Riservato.

He is facing murder, complicity to murder, and kidnapping charges.

The next motions hearing is April 1st.

Meanwhile, Champion’s former girlfriend, Ann Plotkin, who is charged as a co-conspirator, was in court as well.

She will also get a change of venue, but exactly where she will be tried will be determined later.
