Head-on crash kills Princeton woman

A woman was Princeton died Sunday morning in a two vehicle crash on KY 139 North.

KSP says Travis Hale, 25, Princeton, was driving northbound on KY 139 North, just south of Carner Hill Road.  Jeraldine Reece, 72, Princeton, was driving southbound on KY 139 North, approaching Mr. Hale’s vehicle.  For an unknown reason, Hale’s vehicle crossed the center line into the southbound lane.

KSP says Reece swerved to avoid a head on collision, crossing into the northbound lane.  Troopers say Hale then swerved back into the northbound lane, hitting Hale’s vehicle head-on.

Reece was wearing a seatbelt, but died at the scene.  Hale was not wearing a seatbelt and was taken to the hospital. KSP is still investigating.
