Here are six things to know for today.

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia died over the weekend. A debate is now heating up on whether current President Obama or the next president should nominate a replacement.

Snow fell in the Local 6 area over the weekend. Main roads are for the most part clear, but there may be some slick spots.

Speaking of snow, a local business may be giving away free furniture. Paducah Warehouse Furniture held a promotion promising free furniture if it snowed at least 3 inches. The store is getting the snow total later today.

It has been almost a week since Jennifer Hicks was reported missing in Calloway County. Deputies are asking that you call them right away if you have any information.

The Healthy Living Health Fair will be held today from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Kentucky Oaks Mall. Fourteen area businesses will be at the fair offering free services.

Today is President’s Day. The federal holiday is celebrated on the third Monday of February and is also known as George Washington’s Birthday.
