Multi-vehicle wreck blocking section of Breathitt-Pennyrile Parkway cleared

UPDATE: The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the site is cleared and all lanes are open.

Northbound lanes of the The Edward T. Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway at the 19 mile marker are blocked after a wreck involving two semis and two other vehicles, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

The wreck initially blocked southbound lanes as well, but KYTC says those lanes have been cleared. Kentucky State Police and Christian County sheriff’s deputies are at the scene, according to KYTC spokesman Keith Todd.

Todd says Northbound traffic is being detoured at Exit 11 to take U.S. 41 northward.
