State report shows half of Kentucky children not ready for kindergarten

A new state report shows that 50% of Kentucky children are not ready for kindergarten.

The results are from a Brigance kindergarten screener released last fall.

According to the report, kindergarten readiness has hovered around 50% for the past 3 years.

The results of the report can be used to help communities identify what needs to be done to help children entering kindergarten.
