Head-on crash sends one to hospital

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department says a head-on collision on Berger Road Wednesday afternoon sent one woman to a local hospital. 

Deputies got the call about the wreck at 3 p.m. Wednesday. They say Francis Campbell of Paducah was headed east on Berger Road while in a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix when she crossed the center line, hitting a 2005 Chevrolet Trail Blazer that was headed west. That vehicle was driven by Hannah Shaw, also of Paducah. 

Campbell was taken to Lourdes hospital, deputies say. Berger Road was shut down for about an hour. Stinnets Wrecker Service, the Paducah Fire Department and the Paducah Police Department. assisted in the scene.
