New Year, New You winner

We’re two months into the new year and those of us who made New Year’s resolutions are probably struggling to keep our new year promises.

We are helping one lucky Local 6 viewer to take better care of herself with our New Year New You campaign.

Dyan Crawford from Wingo won our giveaway. We caught up with her as she went shopping, started her workout routine, and sat down for a new hair style.

Dyan says because of her job she almost never gets dressed up.

"I work at a local dairy and wear steel toed boots and a hairnet five days a week. I like to blend in with the wallpaper. I don’t want to stand out," said Dyan.

MacKenzie Kauffman from Whispering Tree Boutique helped Dyan choose clothes with a little more color and a little more pop.

After that, it was on to Energy Fitness to weigh in, get measured, and put together a fitness plan. Dyan told trainer Anisa Cox she has run marathons in the past but hasn’t really been very active since losing her son Evan in a car crash two years ago.

The two agree working out won’t necessarily be about weight loss, but getting strong and healthy.

"Being able to get out and do things in the yard, running a marathon, just riding a bike," said Dyan.

Dyan is getting a 3 month membership, a personal trainer, and enrolled in an Energy Fitness specialty program.

From there it was on to Tease Salon, where stylist Stacie Burton colored Dyan’s hair adding some warm highlights and gave her a haircut.

"She’s going to take some length off today and get a cute, fun bob," said Stacie.

She also got a shellac manicure and pedicure, followed by full face makeup. Dyan was also given a gift basket of spa products and hair products to maintain her new look.

"Thank you so very much. I feel blessed to have been chosen and I’m so thankful for all I’ve received," said Dyan.
