Woman faces multiple charges after McCracken County wreck

A woman faces multiple charges after, McCracken County sheriff’s deputies say, she left the scene of a wreck. 

Deputies responded to the scene of the wreck in the 7500 block of Blandville Road around 10 a.m. Wednesday. They say 37-year-old Sally Fowler of Paducah was taken by a passing driver to the old Milan Station and dropped off. Deputies found her there, and she was arrested on multiple charges related to the wreck. 

The sheriff’s department says Fowler rear ended a truck driven by 74-year-old, Lawrence Otey, of Wickliffe, causing his truck to hit the van stopped in front of him. The van was driven by 54-year-old Rickie Byerly of Scott City Missouri, who told deputies he was stopped because a dump truck was in front of him, picking up debris. 

Fowler was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence on the second offense, two counts of first degree wanton endangerment, two counts of first degree criminal mischief, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, second degree possession of a controlled substance, prescription not in a proper container, failure to maintain insurance, no registration receipt, illegal possession of a legend drug and failure to notify address change to the department of transportation
