Baptist Health, SIU Edwardsville partnering for online degree program

Baptist Health Kentucky has announced a new partnership with the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Nursing that will let nurses earn bachelor’s degrees in nursing online in as little as a year.

Working nurses will be able to earn degrees from home and at their own schedule in the accelerated registered nurse to bachelor of science program.

“We are excited to work with Baptist Health to offer our online, accelerated RN to BS in nursing degree,” said Dr. Roberta Harrison at the program announcement on Friday at Baptist Health Paducah.

Harrison is assistant dean for undergraduate programs at the SIUE School of Nursing. “This is a great opportunity to reach more working nurses throughout Kentucky to offer our affordable, progressive and innovative online program," she said.

“We are proud to announce this exciting partnership with SIUE,” Baptist Health Paducah President William Brown said. “This is a wonderful opportunity for our nurses, who can continue their education while working and providing the best health care possible for the patients we are privileged to serve.”
