Local chiropractor facing more sexual abuse charges

The Graves County Sheriff’s Office says Dr. Stephen McAdoo turned himself in Friday morning.

McAdoo was arrested on warrants charging him with three more counts of sexual abuse in the first degree.

Police say the warrants stem from complaints filed by victims who say McAdoo touched them inappropriately or fondled them while they were patients of his.

The incidents for these warrants occurred in May of 2007, May of 2011, and September of 2015.

McAdoo is now facing a total of four charges of sexual abuse.

He was taken in the Graves County Jail and released on bond.

The Graves County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging anyone who may have been victimized by McAdoo to contact the sheriff’s office even if they do not want to pursue charges.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (270) 247-4501.
