A Murray man was arrested over the weekend on charges he assaulted his girlfriend.

On Sunday, Murray police officers were called to a home on Stadium View Drive on reports of a domestic disturbance.

The victim, a 54-year-old woman, met officers outside and said her boyfriend assaulted her.

She told officers that he had hit her several times in the face, hit her on the back of the head with a detachable shower head, and stabbed her in the arm with a pocket knife.
