Woman charged with receiving stolen property faces additional charges

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department says a Reidland woman arrested Saturday on a charge of receiving stolen property now faces additional charges related to other burglaries.

The sheriff’s department said Monday that 26-year-old Sarah Ledgerwood has been charged with two counts of receiving stolen property over $500, first degree possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charges come after detectives sorted through items seized in the search warrant of her home from the previous stolen property charge. They say they found that some items in the home were linked to previous burglaries.

Detectives say they then got a new search warrant of her home and found more stolen property, including power tools and electronics, from at least two other McCracken County homes.
