School leaders heard emotional pleas from students and teachers as they voted to cut 55 jobs at John A. Logan College. Board members say it is all because of the Illinois budget stalemate and lack of funds in the school’s budget.

Both Australia and Malaysia say the debris found off the coast of Africa is from flight MH370. The area matches investigators’ predictions on where the debris from the plane would end up.

Four of the five Republican presidential candidates will debate tonight in Detroit. Ben Carson will not attend after releasing a statement saying he "does not see a political path forward."

It will be easier to get down Broadway in Paducah. A city spokesperson says crews will take down the barricades at the intersection of 5th and Broadway.

Discovery Park of America is getting some new playground equipment. The park in Union City, Tennessee will reveal the Imagination Playground in a Cart today at 11:00 a.m. They acquired the new equipment through a health foundation grant last year.

Today is World Book Day. The day is to encourage everyone to pick up and read a book.
