Marion, IL man sentenced to prison for selling drugs near church

A Marion, Illinois man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for selling drugs near a church.

On January 7, 22-year-old Courtney Weaver was found guilty of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a church.

There were small children present when the drug transaction was made and Weaver was on parole.

On Friday, Weaver was sentenced to 10 years in the Department of Corrections. The judge also recommended substance abuse treatment as part of the sentence.
