Deputies: Woman falsely reported stolen money

McCracken County deputies arrest and charge a woman for theft and falsely reporting an incident.

Deputies say Kristen Wildharber, 21, an employee of Sew Southern Designs, told them when she arrived to open the business, she discovered the front door was unlocked and more than $1500 in cash was missing.

After getting permission to search Wildharber’s car, detectives found the missing money hidden under a child safety seat.   They say Wildharber admitted to taking and hiding the money.
