Local firefighter wins lottery prize

A firefighter with the West City Fire and Rescue won $25,000.

28-year-old Robert Snyder of Christopher, Illinois, won on an Illinois Lottery $250,000 Crossword ticket.

Synder says he will put the winnings in the bank for now.

The winning ticket was purchased at Rend Lake Liquors at 404 State Street in Buckner. The store will receive a $250 bonus.
