Broadway demolition project in downtown Paducah complete

Barricades are now gone from the intersection of Broadway Street and 5th Street in downtown Paducah, city leaders say.

City commissioners announced Tuesday a nearly $500,000 project to demolish a building at 432 Broadway is complete.

Work took longer than planned after crews found a steel beam shared with a building next door.

The next step is to build an 18 foot masonry wall, which begins this week.
