Police find over 100 pounds of marijuana in car during traffic stop

A Nortonville, Kentucky woman was arrested after police found over 100 pounds of marijuana in her car.

The Hopkinsville Police Department say 54-year-old Shirley Humphrey was stopped for speeding Monday on Interstate 24 near the 71 mile marker in Christian County.

Hopkinsville Police K-9 Enzo was at the scene and alerted officers.

In the car, officers found 103 pounds of marijuana.

Humphrey was arrested and charged with trafficking marijuana, possession of open alcohol container, and speeding.

She was taken to the Christian County Jail.
