Woman injured in one-car wreck

A woman was taken to a local hospital after a single-vehicle wreck on South Friendship Road in McCracken County, according to the sheriff’s department.

McCracken County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched, along with Lone Oak fire fighters and responders with Mercy Regional EMS, around 1:10 p.m. Tuesday to the scene on South Friendship Road, between Timothy Drive and Bell Lane.

Deputies say 38-year-old April Gregory of Paducah was driving a Red 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix southbound on South Friendship Road when she failed to negotiate a right curve on the crest of a hill. The vehicle left the roadway and hit a driveway culvert.

Gregory was taken to the  Lourdes emergency room by Mercy Regional EMS with injuries deputies describe as "non-incapacitating." South Friendship Road traffic was diverted for about 30 minutes to clear the site of the wreck.
