PACRO offers loan for Paducah Mellow Mushroom

A restaurant coming to Paducah is getting some financial help from an area economic development organization.

Paducah Area Community Reuse Organization announced Wednesday that it’s offering up to $664,000 in loans from its revolving loan fund to the local Mellow Mushroom franchise — Paducah Pizza Bakers, LLC — that’s setting up shop in the former Coke plant.

The money will be used for building upfit and equipment. PACRO notes that the Mellow Mushroom project will create between 75 and 100 jobs.

There’s no word yet on an opening date for the pizza restaurant.
