McCracken County Public Schools names new Heath Elementary principal

McCracken County Public Schools says Laine Cooper has been named principal of Heath Elementary School.

MCPS says Cooper has been with the school district since 2008. He was a special education teacher for five years and a curriculum specialist for two years. Cooper was the assistant principal at Heath Elementary before he became the interim principal in September.

“I am honored to be chosen as the principal to serve the students, staff, parents, and community of Heath Elementary School," Cooper said in Thursday’s announcement. “I look forward to the success that we’ll achieve together.”
